Everbarre 2019-2020
Irvine, CA
This one depends highly on what you consider to be the definition of a “regular”. For my 30 before 30 it meant attending a class often enough that the instructor knew my name enough to also recognize when I hadn’t been in a while.
One of the Bests introduced me to ever barre in the summer of 2019, we’d go every so often on Saturday mornings (and I’ll admit she went WAY more often than I did).
It did not take long to fall in love with this class. Vinnie made the hour go so quickly, and he knew my name. He knew when I struggling and noticed when I was pushing myself. So there it was, I was a regular.
Fast forward to today (3/7/21) and having taken a class or two virtually and just not loving it (Dog hair is always on my carpet even when I vacuum right before class and the dog also likes to join me only adding more hair to the sweaty mess I become), this is something I really miss in Covid. I cannot say that this is the thing I miss the most, but it was healthy for me and I wanted to go to class Saturday morning. I had just found an exercise class I enjoyed taking (granted it was expensive, but when Vinnie was teach it was worth it) and just as soon as I’d committed, it was shut down. And not only just for covid, no this business Everbarre had to permanently close. I was devastated. But when one door closes others open, Vinnie has since opened his own business and I am so excited to (when possible) take his class in person again and be a regular again. When the world becomes a little more regular again too.
