Treehouse Point
If you’ve never seen the show “Treehouse Masters” on animal planet, this bucket list item might not make sense to you.
Be in a tree!
Pete Nelson
Just an hour outside of Seattle Washington, in a city called Issaqua, sits Treehouse point. A set of 6 treehouses, owned and operated as a bed and breakfast by the Nelson Family. For years I watched and was a fan of their show, Treehouse Masters. So it was only natural when I started my list, staying in a treehouse was added.
Each treehouse is completely individual and unique, picking my favorite did not take long at all.
I fell in LOVE with the Trillium treehouse, with all those windows how could you not? But rather than just giving you one picture, I’ll have Pete Nelson himself take you on a tour of the Trillium Treehouse.
Staying here is certainly not cheap, but getting to spend 2 nights in the trees, exploring their property and eating the homemade breakfasts the staff prepares daily, it was worth every penny.
Reservations are required to visit the property, but guests staying in the trees are welcome to walk around the property. They also encourage you to meet up with other guests staying on property to get to visit/ see the other treehouse. Reservations on the weekends are rare because they do weddings on the property and I honestly could not imagine a more magically place to make a forever commitment, so be prepared to spend a couple week nights in the trees! The staff made us the most scrumptious breakfast both mornings. I forgot to take pictures of the breakfast, but our first morning it was a pesto white bean crostini of sorts and my goodness it was delicious. If you call ahead and let them know allergies they’ll accommodate your needs.
