SICILY, Italy
My mom and I were planning a 3 week trip to Italy for Spring 2020. And if you know my mom, you know where I get my need for “planning” trips/vacations. She booked us on one of Rick Steves’ “Best of Sicily in 11 Days Tour” and a couple excursions before and after. She even planned dinners and classes for us to take on our “free nights.” One cooking class in particular we were looking forward to was called “A Day Cooking with the Duchess.” Not only do you get to learn an authentic Sicilian recipe but the lesson takes place in a 18th century Palazzo by the sea, the last home of Prince Giuseppe Tomasi di Lampedusa. See the video below.
But then Italy was hit with COVID-19, they were hit really hard. A few short weeks later so was the US. And on March 24th 2020, our trip was canceled.
We take your travel dreams very seriously, and this is not a decision we make lightly. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has recommended that US travelers avoid most of Europe, and the US government has imposed restrictions on travelers coming into the US from the EU. As a result, we are canceling all of our tours through May 10, 2020.

Canceled due to Corona virus
April- May 2020
COVID-19 changed so many things about our daily lives; where we work, being able to actually work, where we eat, our income, how often we see family and friends, how we buy our groceries, and how we communicate with distance. This is why the list has to be flexible, it has to be able to change. No matter how quickly we find a vaccine for corona virus, it is not going to change the fact that I will not get this trip to Italy with my Mom back, at least not before I’m 30. So No.27 Take a cooking class in Italy will change, but what it will change into I do not know yet. And that is okay too.
